“The Muse” follows the journey of Joey, an aspiring musician who sells his soul in exchange for fame. After making this deal with the Showrunner, he encounters the Seven Deadly Sins - portrayed as characters within the corrupt side of the music industry. The Muse is a story of Joey’s rise and fall, undeserved forgiveness, and staying true to your Muse.

For us, that's unapologetically Jesus Christ.

This show began as a prophetic dream Teron had in December of 2020, which became musical demos without any clear plan. After teaming up with Andrew McBurnie and Sam Durnil, the songs became a launching pad for a musical showcase at Olivet Nazarene University in April 2021. This showcase turned into a fully written musical performance the following spring.

After the premiere in March 2022, the audience’s tears and the uplifting messages we received afterwards painted a clear picture: this show was bigger than we had imagined. We realized we needed to keep it alive and make it easily accessible — for free. We knew we needed a high-quality film to achieve that goal.

A full year after our musical premiere, we crowd-funded enough money to launch a 10-day film shoot with the original cast. On the last night of filming, we performed the full show for an invited audience.

Over the next year, we focused on editing, album production, pitching and many long hours in the studio. And today! It is finally ready for you to experience.

This message is meant to live on. And our prayer is that we will have the opportunity to make that happen - in whatever way we can. For now we’re proud to offer the highest-quality digital version we could create! We know how much this show meant to those who saw it live — and we certainly know how much it means to us.

The Muse is dedicated to Joey Gardner (1997-2017) and Gavin Grube (2000-2014).
